Captain accomplished his mission today, September 10, 2007. He and "Liberty Bob" both had good reason to visit NYC today ... Captain Quack wanted to get back to the Atlantic to win a coast-to-coast race with his cousin, and Liberty Bob wanted to see the Statue of Liberty.

They traveled together from Memphis, TN to Newark, NJ today. From there they went to Liberty State Park to see the city, Ellis Island, Lady Liberty, and of course the waters of the Atlantic.

Congratulations, Liberty Bob and Captain Quack, on accomplishing your missions today.

From here the boys headed north to the NY State TB Hotel & Casino in Suffern, NY. Since they both have lived their dreams, they're now available to just travel wherever the winds of geocachedom take them!

  • IMG_0215.JPG Captain Quack Sparrow & Liberty Bob both achieve their goals. Bob saw the real Statue of Liberty, and Captain Quack made it back to the Atlantic coast.
  • Lower Manhattan The boys spend a few thoughtful moments remembering what this view looked like 6 years ago today ... and what was done to it 6 years ago tomorrow. They promise to never forget.

My wife, the bugcacher (MorWoods,) grabbed this one from me after I retrieved it in California. Captain Quack had a a nice stay in Germantown TN. So now I have retrieved it again and will take Captain Quack Sparrow to NY tomorrow.

Cpt. Quack is really moving! Geo-Quacker has some intense waddeling to catch up! G-Quacker was last seen in Utah, while Cpt. has made it to the Pacific and is now flapping his wings towards the Atlantic!

Captain Quack Sparrow will be getting real close to returning to the Atlantic Coast..... Probably by Sep 15th. My hubby, Stemor, picked up Captain Quack from San Francisco and it is currently in Memphis TN. Will be going to Philadelphia for a wedding in 2 weeks.
