Current Goal

This travel bug is an official Ohio State Buckeye necklace. Buckeye necklaces are worn by Ohio State fans as they cheer on the Scarlet and Gray. Bucknut's mission is to attend as many college athletic events as possible, especially Ohio State football games. If you are attending any Ohio State event in any city, please take a picture with Bucknut showing your Buckeye pride and post it in the gallery. After taking your picture with Bucknut at an event, please place him in a cache near an upcoming Ohio State game. Bucknut is to be returned to his hometown of Buffalo, NY after the Buckeyes win their next National Championship. (Hopefully I'll see him again soon!) Until then, let's get this TB to as many games around the Big Ten and around the country as possible. Go Bucks!

While running on trail with the Pittsburgh Hash House Harriers (www.pgh-h3.com) on a trail hared by Peder Pants, I was FRB when I got to a check, and chose to go right. Not finding marks, I then continued because I knew of the existence of a geocache there, and yelled to those behind me (Giant Ankle and Folker) that there was a geocache in the area (I had found it six months ago, so I was going by memory). I went looking, and after 30 seconds, Giant Ankle finds it. Folker hears our yells "Geocache!!!", and we all sign the log as "The Hashers were here ! ". For the remainder of the trail, some four miles of running on roads and trails in the woods, I wore the necklace around my neck. As it was bouncing off my chest, it was making an african Bantu tribe noise as if running the savannah. BTW, one of the runners, Virginia, was from Buck-Eye HQ: Columbus, Ohio. Will drop this TB soon some where in Pittsburgh.

    • masai tribe run found it while running with a running club and recognized the area from a previously explored geocache site. Ran 4 additional miles with the necklace feeling like a masai tribe hunting ritual.
    • Beverage stop at the first beverage stop in the woods, we read out loud the goals of the TB
    • games and toys we found a swing at the second beverage stop
    • circle at the circle, we remembered the events of the day and celebrated the found geocache

Well, it's about time for Bucknut to move outside of NYS for a bit. Perhaps start moving closer to Ohio, to see a game on home turf?
