Tunnel of Light Stalactite
Trackable Earthcache
Speleothems are mineral deposits that form in caves, including tunnels, from groundwater. A speleothem is a geological formation by mineral deposits that accumulate over time in natural caves, including tunnels. Speleothems most commonly form in calcareous caves due to carbonate dissolution reactions. They can take a variety of forms, depending on their depositional history and environment. They can take the form of stalactites, stalagmites, flowstone, and other formations.

This stalagmite was found on the ground of the Snoqualmie Tunnel which leads to GC1169 Mission 9: Tunnel of Light. This is one of two Project Ape geocaches in the world.

The Snoqualmie Tunnel is a former railroadtunnel near Snoqualmie Pass in the state of Washington, located east of Seattle.
