Picked up this morning, indeed this used to be Mosley Common colliery, built in 1862. It was modernised in 1962 costing £7.5 million, a "superpit" with 3000 employees but closed in 1968 due to impossible targets. Andy
Dropped it in one of "Mine" as promised ;-) Puns aside though, this cache is located in Mosley Common, once a thriving mining community. In fact, I believe this cache is situated on the side of an old stabilised slag heap. Travel well mr miner!
On way to next mine
Just on the way to collect in an unpublishable series (thanks to united utilities) then will put this in one of mine (get it) in a mining town later!
Will try to find another mine for this little chap
