Edgar the Emu is in a race against Gary the Emu and Sheila the Emu. The race is staring in Pittsburgh, Pa and will end at Pearl Harbor. But theres a catch. Each TB must visit a cache in each of these states.
Maine
Florida
Kansas
California
Washington
Each TB must be placed in at least one cache in each of these states before moving on to Pearl Harbor. The TB CAN NOT go to Pearl Harbor before finishing it's requirements in the lower 48. The TB's can go to any state in any order as long as the get to all 5 before Pearl Harbor.
One rule: A single person can not take a TB and log it for miles. It must be placed in a cache not just "passed through".
The contest will end 12:00 AM EST(Midnight) February 24, 2009. If none reach the goal of Pearl Harbor, then the TB with the most states under it's belt wins.
In order to claim victory, winning TB must have it's photo taken at the USS Arizona memorial. The Person who takes the winning TB's picture will get a prize sent by Team HILLJACK. So Gentleman, start your Emus and let the best bird win.

We picked this up today and thought we'd give it a lift.
We are going to, in the very near future (so as to keep Edgar in his race), create a cache in honour of attorney Edgar Snyder, featuring Edgar the Emu, in the original cache contents. Edgar (the attorney, not the emu) has an office not far from us. We will soon place the cache near there, and the emu as well.
thanks for edgar!
