Thanks for the trip to the beach. Lots of fun; I send out lots of love to every one who helped get me here. Since I am in CA I would love to go see an old and deer friend in Sacramento. Could you send me up north a bit so we an reunite like old pals should? Thanks so much; you all are just awesome!

Sadly, the TB appears to have been taken from the cache by someone who didn't log it. But I've had TB's disappear for over a year and then show up again somewhere unexpected. I hope that this will happen to your TB and that it will make it to Sacramento OK.

Stopped at the View of the Jewel cache on the way to La Jolla Shores Beach.

  • View from the View of the Jewel cache The clouds are beginning to roll in from the Pacific Ocean as the sun begins to go down over the Pacific Ocean in the center of the picture. Great view from the View of he Jewel cache.
  • On the wall at La Jolla Shores Beach! We're at the beach! This popular beach is a busy place, even in the evening with the sun setting. Here I am with my travel bug traveling companions KDubs Active Surfer Guy, GeoLeo from Germany, Polly, Sequoia, High Heel Helen, and Bug One arranged for a group photo op.
  • Another group shot at the beach Many surfers were heading home about the time we showed up. Scripps Institute of Oceanography, the University of California, San Diego, and Torrey Pines Golf course (where the US Open was this weekend) are down the beach to the right from here and up on the cliffs above the beach. I'm going to a cache up there in a few minutes.

This morning I'm headed to Southern California, closer to my goal, along with several other travel bugs.

  • Working on my tan at Windansea Beach First stop in San Diego was Windansea Beach. It's a famous beach in La Jolla, just North of San Diego. It's famous among skilled surfers because of the consistently well formed surf, usually higher than nearby surf. The palm covered surf shack is an icon on the beach. This surfer dude TB is beginning to get annoying. He keeps whining about his missing surfboard.

Hung out with the surfer guy and went to an auto museum in Sacramento where we found a woodie.

Picked this beach bound babe up from GeoWoodstock VI. It's still a way to the beach but it's in good hands. It will be flying to Southern California (where the best beaches are at!) and get wet at the beaches of San Diego in about 10 days...and we will take some pictures! Oh, forgot to mention that CA or Bust met KDubs Active Surfer Guy at Geowoodstock VI. They'll be traveling together to the beach. Yesterday they were checking out a woodie in Sacramento, CA.
