About This Item

alfred

Well, my name is Alfred. Born in 2005 in a Chinese factory. After I was born I immediately moved over to a store in The Netherlands. En there I was. Lying in a basket with lots of relatives. Well, I imagined something very different of The Netherlands. This should be the Promised Land. Not. Almost every day hundreds of kids grabbed me and then just threw me back in the basket.

Luckily for me, two of the sweetest people I know (they are also the only people I know) discovered me. They took me to their home where they arranged a nice bed for me. But first they had to arrange the adoption papers at a place they called the cash register.

I really hit the jackpot with those two. Just two days after I have moved in to my new home, they took me with them to Barcelona. And now, after fourteen years, I’ve visited also Belgium, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Austria, Luxembourg, Austria, Liechtenstein, San Marino, France, Monace, Italy, Switzerland, Greece, Maroc, Malta. Gibraltar, Portugal, Ireland and The United States of America.

The show me all the beautiful spots. They put me in the back pocket of a backpack so I have a perfect view of the world around me. And coming to the heart of the matter, I don’t have to walk.

Every place I visit I want to be on a photograph, so one of my ‘Foster-Parents’ will take it at that moment.

Now my ‘Foster-Parents’ discovered the GPS and Geo-Caching. And every time they leave for a short walk I join them. I’m always curious if they see any family of me in the treasure they find. Sometimes they take the discovered family with them to join me for a few days or weeks. After that they have taken care of my relatives, they send them further on their journey.
