Magee, the Guide Dog Puppy in training is hoping to do see North America. His home, The Canadian Guide Centre for the Blind, provides guide dogs to users across the country, so he has set out to raise awareness in the Geocaching community.
Magee is a Guide Dog puppy in training. You can see he wears a special bib so that people will recognize that he is a service dog. Guide dogs provide independence to hundreds of blind people across Canada. Each dog cost approximately $35,000 by the time the training is finished and they have been paired off with their human team mate. Guide Dog users pay a token $1 for the dog and training; donations cover the rest. Although Magee is ADORABLE and it would be tempting to keep him, please help him along the way to his goal of visiting every province and territory. If you want to adopt one of his litter mates, you can purchase one; all proceeds go towards the breeding and training of more guide dogs. Retreive on a cache of Ottawa when we visit the GAG10. Nobody log the tb on the cache so I made a Grabb after 2 weeks..Magee is now in Levis Qc with Victor and enjoy it. We will try to make a picture in front of an intersting place.

Rescued Magee from a soggy cache and he's drying now. We've put a Parliament pin on him. We'll try to get him a 2nd bib for more pins - he's getting heavy!

Little Magee holds a special place in my heart. I have been watching her since she went AWOL in Griffiths Tower and then miraculously found and on the move once again. I recently had eye surgery for a degenerative eye disease and now have restored vision. Another miracle! So when I had the opporturnity to retrieve Magee from ESP Travel Bug Hotel, I made the trek in bitter windchill. I will enjoy her company briefly and find another cache to get her on the move and spread the word. She has loads of pins. I added a Winnipeg Humane Society (WHS) leash pin.
