Current Goal

This tb is to travel from cache to cache meeting and greeting all the "grasshopper's" (newbies) of geocaching. We were once a grasshopper and had a sensai who taught us the rules of Geocaching. All sensai's eventually take pride in the grasshoppers in how well you have learned the hobby of geocaching. Please keep him moving, also share with me the day when you sensai stated "Ah, you learn fast grasshopper."

About This Item

Grasshopper toy I found in a cache. I thought this would make a great travel bug. I have never seen a grasshopper stuffed toy, this is a first. Please keep to it's mission.

This accidentally got logged in as left in Evanston, IL when in fact it was another TB that got left there by me. How can I get it off from showing that it went to Illinois?

It was not the grasshopper travel bug that I placed in Ridgeville Park in Evanston, IL. It was a red jeep travel bug #JPBAXQ that was retrieved in Lovelady, TX. I don't know how to change the information.

I did a GPS/Geocaching lesson with my elementary school classes and one of my students and his family went Geocaching and found this cache and the grasshopper travel bug. He brought it to school today and we shared the info with the other classes that also did the Geocaching lesson. We were so excited! He and his family are going to take the grasshopper to another cache. The school now is going to get a travel bug and launch it on its way too. Our school is located about 2 and one half miles from the spot where the cache was found. Hope Mr. Grasshopper has many more miles of hopping!!!

Retrieved this travel bug on a hot and tiring caching day. (Real grasshoppers would have loved it!) I will move it onto the next cache as soon as I can. Lived with grasshoppers in Nebraska awhile back and I am not a particular "fan" of them so will not keep it around long! :)
