This travel bug has journeyed all around the world, and returned to me.
It's true. My son and I were the first to move "The Rock" back in 2008, after it was released by its owner in upstate NY. I recognized it immediately. It was exciting enough just to see this TB again after all these years.
But when I returned home and logged onto the website, I saw that there was much more to this TB's story. After I moved it in 2008, it spent a bit of time wandering around the Northeast states, until a cacher travelling to Singapore picked it up and brought it there. It drifted around Singapore for a while, until a cacher took it across the ocean to California. There it stayed for a few months before travelling across the continent to Wall Township, NJ, perfectly timed to meet up with me again, on my late-summer vacation in Ocean Grove.
So I think I will email the TB's owner and ask permission to keep it and hang it on my wall. Its destiny has been fulfilled!
