We took Cody with us on an afternoon cache hike up in the hills. It was a nice afternoon for a hike (although it was a bit hazy, so the views weren't as nice as they could have been).

Before we went caching today, we took Cody to Bonfante Gardens. Today was the last day it is open for this year. Bonfante Gardens is a unique 'theme' park in that it is non-profit, and that it caters to the 12 and under crowd, as well as the adult crowd. There are many rides sprinkled around the park for the younger set, and there are gardens to look at everywhere. Cody seemed to have a good time.

    • Bareback rider Here's Cody riding bareback on a horse topiary. There are many topiaries all over the park.
    • Butterflyin' This time Cody hitches a ride on the back of a butterfly topiary.
    • Cody falls, take 1 There are many man-made waterfalls thoughout the park. Cody posed in front of a few.
    • Cody falls, take 2 This is an interesting stairstep waterfall, the result being very glassy looking. Cody got a bit wet, but didn't mind.
    • Cody falls, take 3 Here's Cody soaking in some California sun with some more falls in the background.
    • Cody and the four legged giant! Here's Cody with one of the many "Circus" trees, which are one of the main attractions at Bonfante Gardens. This one is four sycamore trees that were trained to grow into one main trunk. This is the oldest Circus tree in the park (or anywhere, for that matter).
    • basking next to the basket tree Here is another basket tree. This one is six seperate sycamore trees that were joined together into a basket patteren. One of the favorites.
