Current Goal

The goal of this coin is again very scientific. The purpose this time is to delve into the geocachers thoughts and mindset towards the sport of geocaching. Good ones, bad ones, we all have one. So air it out. Sure it is ok to respond to my opinion but the jist of the bug is to have one of your own, but if your opinion is that I'm full of it then let me have it. Peace y'all.

About This Item

New opinion, it looks like the other one had no legs so heres something different.

I think it is just to dang hard to set up a virtual these days. I have had some good ideas but none meet the criteria. There are just some places that, yah sure you could put a cache of some sort there but do to an issue or two it would be better not to. It does not mean it is not a cool interesting place. Does everyone need the toy suprise in the box.

On the road again, soon I hope! The virtual issue, where do we begin? First we really needed caches to find and somebody came up with the virtual idea. It had some guidelines, but not many. Soon the floodgates were opened up and the virtuals came in from all over. There are some really lame ones out there. To claim your prize, what is the name on the mailbox at XXX Y street. Come on, that is not what the game is all about. 99 percent of them could be solved on the Internet. The basis of the caching game has always been to search for the hidden object. Granted, a virtual can be very hidden. We have steam locomotives, water towers, barns, tractors, road signs, surely if we want to bring them that far, we can place a micro with a sign in book nearby and call it a multi-cache. Just my two cents. There are some that were submitted by people whjo got the coordinates off of a map and do not even own a GPS. Just my two cents worth. Glen*
