To be walked, and sent on a journey around the world!
My fellow cachers,
Each year the National Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Chapters, and Branches
have an MS walk event of 3, 6, or 9 miles, in the middle of April, to
help benefit those who need special equipment, services, and research
to, hopefully, someday find a cure.
After they complete their walk they are given The MS Walk medal, to
which I have attached several Travel Bugs, that will start out on their
trek. With your help, I hope they will travel to all 50 states. If
someone would like to take one abroad, please do so, for MS has no
boundaries.
If you are going out of the country and going to do some geocaching, and
would be interested, let me know and, I will be glad to send you one, so
you may start a Walk Medal on it's journey.
Almost everyone knows someone that has MS. Show them the medal and tell
them what you are doing with it. People that can not walk without an
aid, can watch the medals from their home, providing they have a
computer.
I'm excited to see how many miles each Medal will travel, and will
update their trek as much as possible in newsletters.
If you find one, please find a new cache that would seem to be muggle
proof as possible.
Pictures taken along the way would be of great interest to those of us
watching. The numbers could be in the hundreds of thousands.
