It’s hot out, and you’ve had a long day of geocaching. You have the perfect cold one sitting in the cooler. But then you discover that you left your bottle opener at home. Fortunately all is not lost. With the Emergency Bottle Opener you can now open up that bottle, and take a refreshing swallow of your favorite beverage. Your only responsibility is to record how many bottles were opened using the Emergency Bottle Opener. We’ll try to keep a running tally on the geocaching.com page for this travel bug. Now sit back and enjoy your drink … oh, and don’t forget to drop the Emergency Bottle Opener off in another cache for another thirsty geocacher.
This is a bottle opener made from a recycled bicycle chain. It’s perfect for those fancy foreign beers that haven’t figured out the technology of screw caps. In a pinch you can also use it on an old fashioned glass soft drink bottle. But don’t try using this guy on those plastic water bottles … you’ll most likely destroy the bottle and end up spilling water all over yourself.
