Hello diary. Today I became important.
I was escorted (carried) to Ness Point, where I was informed that this is, in fact, the most easterly point in the UK.
This means I am now officially the most easterly bear, a title I intend to hold over the other bears for the rest of time.
We arrived for a Winter Solstice event, which I believe is a gathering of humans to celebrate daylight leaving them far too early.
There was much standing around, gazing at the sea, and discussing how cold it was. I pretended not to notice the wind, as I was wearing my finest Mega T-shirt and sitting in a chair like a seasoned cacher whoβs seen things.
I watched waves crash, people take photos, dogs question my existence, and several passers-by accept without comment that a giant bear was attending an event. I feel this says a lot about geocachers.
Despite the shortest day of the year, spirits were high, logs were signed, and I was admired from a respectful distance. I did not get wet. I did not get blown away. A solid result.

Most easterly bear status achieved: βοΈ
I will now retire to think about my next appearance.
