I love the Jeep Travel bug adventures! I've always been a fan of travel bugs, and try to pick them up and help them along when I can. When my uncle (TheDad) pointed out this contest to me I was bound and determined to find a Jeep. I moved to Northern NY last year, and got into geocaching last year - and what no one told me when I traded in my old car was that the winters here are much more brutal than where I came from and that 4 wheel drive is helpful. I don't have 4 wheel drive. It would also be helpful on the mountains around here in general - I climbed a mountain in Vermont a few weeks ago for a geocaching event, and I was terrified the whole way that my little car was going to slide back down the mountain! I love the little Jeep TBs, but now I need me a real Jeep too! 🙂

I've been hunting for one of these for EVER in Vermont, except they seem to land in caches where you need some cryptography knowledge to figure out where the darned cache is! So I see this one dropped off, and I think, "aha! Now's my chance!" Naturally I had work on Friday, and so today I'm getting ready to go and the guy on the radio said that instead of just getting some rain today, eastern NY and western VT was under a flood watch for an inch of rain an hour. Great. Well, I needed to go to Plattsburgh to get food and car cleaning supplies anyway so off I go. I figured if nothing more it would be a test of my new raincoat. The rain held off and I got to the cache and got the bug! Awesome!
