Current Goal

Amazing job everyone! A sincere "Thank you" goes to Moe the Sleaze for bringing the bug to within a quarter mile of my home for a dropping point, Centris for her TLC of the bug (which bug doesn't she coddle?) and whoever added the second camera to the bug (I forgot). Of course, everyone who moved the bug and took a photo can also take a bow.

I'm going to make a Yahoo photo album for the pics, and I'll link it here. When you see the photo you took, email me so I can label it.

About This Item

Ramsey logo

This bug's exclusive mission is to explore the parks of Ramsey county, who, in their infinite wisdom, elected to address the hobby of geocaching for what it is, a safe, family oriented game that celebrates public spaces, not destroys them. The bug is a Fuji Quicksnap camera with 25 exposures and a flash. The bugs goal is for the finding cacher to take a photo of a favorite feature of the park where the bug was found and a photo of a favorite feature that the bug is placed. when completed, I will retrieve the bug and have the film developed and post photo's of the cachers opinions on the bugs home page as well as sending a set of the photo's to John Moriarty, Natural Resources Specialist for Ramsey County Parks and Recreation (thank him here--> John.moriarty@co.ramsey.mn.us ) and anyone who needs thanks for their willingness to think before acting, or those who need proof that WE are the faces of those who use public property responsibly. Remember, "cache in/trash out", move those caches before the volunteer trails get established, keep out of sensitive areas, don't bury caches, and in my opinion, if you find a buried cache, adopt it, move it and report your actions to the original placers. Each cacher must take responsibility and represents our hobby. DO IT WELL!!!!

ROFLMAO! I had the last cachers put it in a cache near my work, And purposely askerd them not to virtually drop it so that no one would see it. (nice cache Jill and Chad) So I went out today to grab it. Oh well. I'll P.M. you with a drop spot. I work @ Galyans, and there are good cache options near there.

I picked up the bug at WB Biblioteque which is in Washington County. I think both cameras are used up. Irvingdog, would you like me to get it back to you or should I place it in another cache?

Have you ever seen a travel bug get so many touches and move so few miles?
Thanks, and a Great Job to everyone.

Noticed there were no more pictures in the cameras so we picked it up. Let us know what you want done with it, we would love to give it a ride to a pick-up cache. Kind of curious how the pictures will turn out.

Circumstances kept my wife and I from attending the Winter Cache Bash, and I forgot all about virtually placing this bug there. I figured I should reclaim it in case I make it to a Ramsey County cache this weekend.
