I had been trying to find the perfect cache to drop this TB in. The cache I found it in was a challenge and I knew I wanted to find a challenging one to put it into again. When I started up the mountain I had the intention of putting a different bug into this cache but I enjoyed the challenge of getting there so much that it was clear that this was the place. I hope whoever goes for this travel bug next enjoys the challenge and also takes a while to enjoy the spectacular area this cache is hidden in.

Geocaching is all about the challenge. Sometimes it’s a physical challenge, sometimes a mental challenge, and many times a combination of the two. Finding the Jeep today was a combination of the two and an experience that epitomizes what Geocaching can be.

I found this Jeep Travel Bug in Coginchaug by TURTLE (GC98B8), a cache that was a much more physically challenging cache than I had ever done before. While the physical challenge was exhilarating, when it was combined with the mental challenge of a TURTLE puzzler I found myself enjoying this cache more than any other. Why? Because this cache was the perfect blend of physical exercise and mental exertion that made every twist and turn of the trail, every piece of the puzzle, every step forward and every setback a part of a well balanced experience. Mind and body being tested, stretched, and at times pushed harder and further that even a stressful day-to-day life can provide for.

The challenge was there to be experienced and savored, physically, mentally, together and separately. The Jeep Travel Bug a prize to be won, a treasure to be found. After that challenge had been met and overcome only one remained, to remember how to get back to the car!
