It seems that every time we find one of these Jeeps it is an adventure, and this one was no different. We were in the U.P. of Michigan on a camping/geocaching trip. The cache we were headed toward sounded great - walking along the shoreline, seeing a cave, and searching for fossils. A previous cacher mentioned a trench and having to wait for the water to be warmer to cross. We'll it's August, we thought no trouble. When we got there we saw that this trench was more than we could walk across. Luckily we had the kayaks - so we flipped one off the truck. We tied a rope to one end and our son crossed, we pulled the yak back and I crossed, and then we pulled the yak back and the last of our team crossed. We pulled the yak on shore and off to the cache we went - not even knowing what was waiting in store for us! When we opened the cache there was a Jeep!!!! And it wasn't even listed on the website that there would be one there. Lucky us. We did our logging and trading. Then we looked for fossils. With a Jeep in our pocket, plus a lot of fossils we headed back to the kayak. We crossed the trench (which had been dug to give access to some boat wells), just the same way as we had come and were off to our next cache. Thanks for the adventure!

We found this one in LimeStone Cliffs in the UP of Michigan. We are up here camping and geocaching. We'll take it down state and get in into another cache in the next week or two.

Three caches indicated that it was missing from the Cachiversary 1 Cache that I placed it in. Too bad.

I forgot to write the number of this yellow jeep TB down before moving it from Mattheson State Park to Upper Michigan. My bad. My bad. My bad. I suck. I suck big time. Terribly sorry to the TravelBug owner. I suck. Now going back to this cache page on Sept 30th, I was able to find the jeep's number. I suck. Sorry.

I was the Illinois distributor of the Yellow Jeep Travel Bugs, so I sent 19 to the Peoria area, 19 to the far southern Illinois area, 20 to northern Illinois and placed 20 in the Yorkville cache. That left me with 2 - this one and another - to place in caches as I saw fit...
