Am 14. März 2006 veröffentlichte der seit Mai 2004 aktive Cacher Thorny1 aka Steve aus Marietta, Georgia, im Geocaching-Forum als Sprecher der "Coin Guys" Team Pez, GA Cacher und MadHattersNeverland die Information, dass eine neue "Georgia Micro Geocoin" vorbestellt werden kann.
Das Design enthält Teile der früheren Georgia State-Münze und ist als 25 x 2,5 mm große Mikro-Geocoin für die Reise von Cache zu Cache konzipiert.
Gefertigt wurden über 500 Coins in Antik Gold, Antik Silber und Antik Kupfer, beidseitig mit Epoxidharz beschichtet, um die Oberflächen vor allem vor Nässe zu schützen.
Ende April 2006 begann der Versand der bestellten Münzen.
Auf der Frontseite trennt der Name GEORGIA die Fahne des Bundesstaates und den Pfirsich als Zeichen für Georgia (Pfirsichstaat) von der Darstellung dreier Persönlichkeiten der Konföderierten Staaten von Amerika während des Bürgerkriegs: Stonewall Jackson, Robert E. Lee und Jefferson Davis.
Im Stone Mountain Park in Georgia befindet sich das Relief dieser Figuren auf ihren jeweiligen Lieblingspferden „Blackjack“, „Traveller“ und „Little Sorrel“, das sogenannte „Confederate Memorial Carving“. Es ist das größte Flachrelief der Welt.
Die gesamte Relieffläche umfasst 12.000 m², was etwa der Größe von zweieinviertel Fußballfeldern entspricht.
Die Skulptur der drei Männer ragt 120 Meter in die Höhe, misst 27 mal 58 Meter und ist 13 Meter tief in den Berg eingelassen.
Im Zentrum der Rückseite ist die Umrissfläche mit einem Wanderer, dem Trackingcode und dem Geocachinglogo zu sehen. Oben steht der Spruch: GEORGIA ON MY MIND.

Thanks to the 2023 Christmas Day blizzard my daughter, JMVonFange, was delayed in heading home so we spent the bonus time together comparing our caching statistics including trackables discovered and looking through our geocaching pictures. JM has discovered significantly more trackables that I have mainly because while we were staying home during the pandemic she spent time online and spotted numerous TBs that were being shared virtually on various social media sites like Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, etc. Thankfully, she still had a few notes that helped guide my search for the same trackables that she had already discovered. After looking at the TB page for each of the TBs that she had discovered, I found that a large number all belonged to several individuals and sent a message to them individually inquiring about permission to log their trackables. This travel bug was on the list that you shared with me.
