Mid size coin with heft. 1.5 inches 2.5 mm thick black nickel. Available iin other metal/enamel colors. The front has background white ename with native american art work face done in red and black enamel. The 3-D is in edge and rim work. The rim has script that reads "Saman Tran" and "The geoshamans from the heart of Europe". The styalized design is bold and the colors are red, black and white. The reverse continues the theme. The white enamel sets off the slight use of red enamel. The medallion has a design of a stick man with a GPS in one hand. The rim script reads "Prague, Czech Republic, geocaching since October 24, 2003". The medallion script reads "N 50 01.900 E 14 29.037"the coordinates for Prague). A Euro coin. Nice personal coin.
Info on the coin: It was manufactured by coinsandpins.com, probably sold via the no longer existing German online shop "Cachezone".
The 38 x 3 mm coin in a total mintage of 500 coins in 4 different editions shows on the obverse a mask representation of the western Canadian Haida natives in the typical black-white-red color combination. In the surrounding ring, the team name is written at the top and "The Geoshamans from the Heart of Europe" at the bottom. In the center of the back, three line graphics can be seen, including the coordinates of the team's home in the 11th district of Prague and the placeholder for the tracking code. On the outside are "PRAGUE, Czech Republic" at the top and "geocaching since October 24, 2003" at the bottom.
When I asked why he had chosen Indian motifs for his personal coin, Saman told me that his childhood nickname was Saman, which means shaman in Czech. That's why he chose these Aboriginal Canadian motifs and he also likes this Haida art.
So many of my GCs have been muggled that I only release GCs as virtuals. If you do not approve, please leave it in the cache for a cacher who understands. Thanks. FR

Thanks to the 2023 Christmas Day blizzard my daughter, JMVonFange, was delayed in heading home so we spent the bonus time together comparing our caching statistics including trackables discovered and looking through our geocaching pictures. JM has discovered significantly more trackables that I have mainly because while we were staying home during the pandemic she spent time online and spotted numerous TBs that were being shared virtually on various social media sites like Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, etc. Thankfully, she still had a few notes that helped guide my search for the same trackables that she had already discovered. After looking at the TB page for each of the TBs that she had discovered, I found that a large number all belonged to several individuals and sent a message to them individually inquiring about permission to log their trackables. This travel bug was on the list that you shared with me.
