Mid size coin with mid size heft. 1.5 inches 3.25 mm thick antique gold. Available in other metal colors. The front side has bold simple 3-D work against nice background metal texture. The rim has text that reads "www.reindeercaching.de since May 2004". The medallion has a "warning raindeer crossing" sign. The reverse has cartoon like depiction of two adults and two sucklings meeting. There is slight enamel use in muted colors on the deer. The rim has script that reads "It looks like rein, deer!". Euro coin. Fun coin.
Info on the coin: The design comes from professional North American designer Jamie of Mad Hatters Neverland, who created geocoins especially in the first decade of this century.
The front of the Geocoin shows the traffic sign "Caution Reindeer" in the center of the coin and the address of the reindeer website in the circumferential circle on the left, the indication of the start of the geocaching activities on the right and the word "CACHING" at the bottom.
The reverse shows 2 adult reindeer and in front of them two calves, each facing each other. The tracking code can be read underneath. All around the outer ring at the top is "Looks like rein, deer!".
The Geocoin was produced in 5 versions, 3 of which were limited to 50 pieces each: - TWO TONE, - FOGGY GOLD, - FOGGY SILVER. The other two versions in ANTIK GOLD and ANTIK SILBER are currently still sold by the GeoCoinshop. In the Groundspeak database, 1527 tracking codes are assigned to this Geocoin.
The reindeer (Rangifer tarandus), also known as the caribou in North America, is a deer from the Arctic and Subarctic. In Europe, Reindeers are living mostly in the North, where many warning signs (shown on the backside) can be found.
So many of my trackables have gone muggled that I only release new GCs as virtuals. If you do not approve, please leave this coin in the cache for a cacher who understands. Thanks. FL

Thanks to the 2023 Christmas Day blizzard my daughter, JMVonFange, was delayed in heading home so we spent the bonus time together comparing our caching statistics including trackables discovered and looking through our geocaching pictures. JM has discovered significantly more trackables that I have mainly because while we were staying home during the pandemic she spent time online and spotted numerous TBs that were being shared virtually on various social media sites like Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, etc. Thankfully, she still had a few notes that helped guide my search for the same trackables that she had already discovered. After looking at the TB page for each of the TBs that she had discovered, I found that a large number all belonged to several individuals and sent a message to them individually inquiring about permission to log their trackables. This travel bug was on the list that you shared with me.
