The Sambro Island Light is located at the entrance to Halifax Harbour. It is the oldest surviving lighthouse in North America. It was first lit in 1758 and has been operational ever since.
This coin was designed by local geocacher Mr_Warhead, coin in shape of light at top of light house. This coin comes from PHDCOINS.CA

Die Überschrift "Lighthouses" fesselte mich noch ein wenig in deiner Sammlung. Ich habe einen befreundeten Geocacher, der Leuchttürme über alles liebt und Geocoins natürlich auch. Der wird dieses Jahr in den Ruhestand treten und nach Emden ziehen. Das wäre bestimmt ein tolles Abschiedsgeschenk für ihn. Mal sehen, ob ich ein besonders hübsches Exemplar für ihn ergattern kann.
