WWFM – World Wide Flash Mob XIV.
Am 10. Juni 2017 hat der 14. WWFM stattgefunden.

Wie auch schon in den vergangenen fünf Jahren habe ich ein Flashmob-Event veranstaltet:

Tausende von Geocachern versammeln sich jedes Jahr am selben Tag zur gleichen Zeit zu zahlreichen Events auf der ganzen Welt.
Speziell zu diesem Anlass wurde der WWFM Flash Mob XIV Event-Geocoin designt. Passend zum Design im Vorjahr hat der Geocoin auch dieses Jahr wieder eine nachleuchtende Komponente.

Die Vorderseite zeigt einen Tetradekagon-Knoten-Stern. Jede Ecke repräsentiert eins der 14 WWFM-Events. Der Stern ist in hellen transluzenten, opalen und leuchtenden und dunklen harten Emaillefarben. Auf der Rückseite ist das traditionelle WWFM-Design mit einem Globus, umgeben von Lorbeerblättern, einer speziellen "lateinischen" Botschaft auf einer Schriftrolle und dem ikonischen PodCacher-Kopfhörer und Pfeil-Logo.

WWFM – World Wide Flash Mobs
Sonny und Sandy vom PodCacher-Podcast kam die Idee zum WWFM im Jahr 2007 nach dem Besuch eines Mega-Events. Es war als Spaß-Event als "Gegensatz" zu einem Mega-Event gedacht: all die coolen Aspekte eines Geocaching-Events, zusammengepackt in 15 Minuten.
Eine zusätzliche Dimension bekommt es durch die Buchstaben "WW": World Wide - dieses Event gibt's auf dem ganzen Planeten am selben Tag um die selbe Uhrzeit!
Diese Cacheevents sollen Geocacher in einer kreativen Art und Weise zusammenbringen und Neulinge in das Hobby Geocaching einführen.
Seit 2007 gibt es den weltweiten Geocaching-Flashmob, den WWFM.

On June 10th, 2017, the 12th WWFM took place all around the globe.

On June 10, 2017, the 14th WWFM will take place all around the globe - and this very special WWFM XIV Geocoin was created to commemorate this worldwide geocaching event. The front side showcases a tetradecagon knotwork star with each point representing all 14 years of WWFM events. The star is made in bright translucent, opaque, and glow in the dark hard enamel colors. On the back is the traditional WWFM design with a globe surrounded by laurel leaves, a special “Latin” message on a scroll, and the iconic PodCacher headphones and arrow logo.

The concept of the Geocaching World Wide Flash Mob, created by Sonny and Sandy of PodCacher is simple: thousands of geocachers all over the globe briefly gather for an event, all on the same day. At a precise time, they come together, have a group "meal" (often it's chocolate kisses), take a group photo, do something fun or silly and then disperse, vanishing with the wind.
