Design notes from Chris Mackey:

While the technical skills of rock climbing originate quite far back in multiple areas throughout the world, the sport of rock climbing blossomed in the late 19th century. With the inclusion of rock climbing as an athletic sport rather than an alpine life necessity, the benchmark was set for a quickly evolving passion that sweep across the globe up to this very day where any gym worthy of the name has climbing gear and trainers available. As the skills of climbers around the world came to be on display so did their equipment and by the 1930s there were hundreds of climbing clubs reaching for the highest heights or deepest descents on the planet.

Now, with cachers seeking new thrills and better hides, the opportunities have never been better to get out there and set your own personal benchmark by climbing. Whether spelunking into the unknown under the earth, climbing the mountains high above or exploring the canopy of a forest, there are caches to be found and skills to sharpen. Now you can get out there and learn what it takes to score those coveted 5 Star Difficulty Caches with a climb of your own. Once you start, you'll never see your world the same way again. You'll be scanning potential climbs and rappels everywhere you go. Gear up with this newest trackable because your world of hiding caches just went vertical and as climbers love to say "Gravity is just myth!".
