Seit 2017 ist Marice Lackey bei Groundspeak und vor allem als Produktdesignerin im Geocaching-Hauptquartier tätig. Zwar ist ihr Nickname royalfish, doch zu finden ist sie unter AppDesigner.
Sich selbst beschreibt sie als langjährige Konsumentin von Internet-Memes und Genießerin von Sprudelwasser.
Als Geocacherin hat sie die freie Natur entdeckt und sich in sie verliebt. Für einen Fund macht sie alles, z. B. Wildwasser-Rafting, Offroadfahren und in dunkle Höhlen schwimmen.
