Nekoč je bil ... ja, nekoč je bil krasen kraški ovčar po imenu Mak. Nežen, cartljiv, kadar je bilo pa treba, pa tudi oster. Ampak to je bilo redkokdaj. Od vseh članov svojega tropa je imel najraje tretjega Ostrorogega, ki je bil takrat še majhen, zelo majhen fantek. Gorje, če je Mak slišal njegovo vreščanje! Takoj je pridirjal, da bi preveril, ali mali kriči ker pač kriči ali se mu kaj hudega dogaja.
Tako nežnega, a hkrati stanovitega psa težko najdeš. Mogoče je bil pa tak tudi zato, ker je bil po duši in telesu pravi kraševec - sin burje. Naša avtohtona pasma, na katero smo Slovenci lahko upravičeno ponosni. Zato naj sledljivček Mak potuje po celi Sloveniji (čim hitreje, prosim) in razširja glas o naših krasnih sinovih burje daleč naokrog.
PROSIM, NAJ TA SLEDLJIVČEK NE ZAPUSTI SLOVENIJE!
Once upon a time there was... yes, once upon a time there was a wonderful Karst shepherd named Mak. Gentle, playful, and when necessary, also harsh. But that was rare. Of all the members of his pack, he liked the most the third Ostrorogi, who was a small, very small boy at that time. Woe if Mak heard his screams! He immediately rushed over to check if the little one was screaming because he was screaming or if something bad was happening to him. It is hard to find such a gentle, yet steadfast dog. Maybe he was like that because he was a true Karst shepherd in soul and body - a son of the bora. Our indigenous breed, of which we Slovenians can be justifiably proud. Therefore, let the tracker Mak travel all over Slovenia (as quickly as possible, please) and spread the word about our wonderful sons of the bora far and wide.
