Help for Ukraine - Geocoin Donation
When the geocoin "20 Years Geocaching in Ukraine" was released in January 2022, nobody knew what was happening there now - just two months later.
This coin commemorates the very first geocache in Ukraine that was published on 02/02/2002 (GC36C6). A few Geocachers from the Ukraine created this coin and ordered 100 copies from Claudia Cbauer from mygeocoin.de as a strictly limited edition. Only 30 of them were available in the shop, the rest went to Ukraine as a whole and were distributed there to the initiators of this coin - one of them is Tracker, whose real name is Sergii Sadovnik.
Now it's war, Ukraine is under attack by Russian President Vladimir Putin and his henchmen, millions of people are fleeing, women, children, old people... the men and young are on duty in arms and defending their country against the invaders. Complete helplessness, anger, sadness is dominating the rest of the world right now! The victims are once again mainly the civilians, who are least responsible for political discussions.
We want to set an example, show our solidarity with the Ukrainian people! That's why we, Claudia and I, ask the Geocoin community for help!
Due to the current happenings, our feeling of powerlessness gave rise to the idea of helping with a fundraiser. In coordination with Sergii, Claudia designed 2 strictly limited editions in nearly no time at all and will bear the entire production costs. This coin is therefore sold without any profit. The issue price is 30.00 euros, of which every cent is paid transparently and 100% to an organization to be named by Sergii! I will send the coins, there are no postage costs within Germany, within Europe and the world I would like to combine them so that I can also send these coins free of charge, payment with me is only free of charge as a bank transfer or PayPal to friends.
The colors of this black nickel version certainly need no explanation - they are so menacing and dark that they cannot even begin to do justice to the situation on site.
There will also be an XLE5 edition that will only be available as an auction. Details will follow - and of course this income will also go in full to an aid organization to be named by Ukrainians - without any detours or administrative costs!
