...a new EarthCache coin by dedi1510 - well done! To get the description as complete as possible I'm taking it from the creator himself:
The rock cycle describes the fundamental principle that rocks on Earth are in a constant state of change. Through natural processes, they can transform over long periods and become different types of rocks. There is no fixed beginning or end point - everything is part of an ongoing cycle.
I chose this theme for my geocoin because the rock cycle lends itself perfectly to a visual representation. As a result, the coin is not just an interesting collectible; it also illustrates how the rock cycle works at a single glance. Along the way, it imparts some geological knowledge, offering a subtle educational experience.
On the other side of the coin, Signal the Frog can be seen searching for the EarthCache logo with a magnifying glass and a flashlight. In the background, a rock crevice serves as a symbolic gateway into the rock cycle, representing a transition into the fascinating world of geology. In this playful way, the coin connects its two sides - linking the geocaching adventure with the discovery and understanding of geological processes.
A cool coin, measuring 50mm in diameter and a fat 5mm thickness, being part of my collection now. Sure that dedi1510 deserves the FTD here!
