2005 Volunteer Geocoin

In Vorbereitung auf Weihnachten 2005 hatten Groundspeak-Lackeys die Idee, den freiwilligen Helfern (Reviewer, Übersetzer, Moderatoren) als Dank für ihre Arbeit ein Geschenkpäckchen zu schicken, in dem Volunteer-Geocoins waren, die von den Empfängern aktiviert werden sollten, bevor sie als Geschenk oder Auszeichnung an Cacher weitergegen werden konnten.

So entstand die hier vorgestellte 38 x 4 mm große Silbercoin mit dem 3D-Signalkopf vor einem blauen Stern in einer Auflage von rund 2000 Stück.
Umlaufend ist im blauen Ring neben der Jahreszahl 2005 zu lesen: "Thanks Groundspeak Volunteers!"

Auf der Rückseite ist eine Weltkarte zu sehen, davor die Trackinginformationen und das offizielle Groundspeaklogo.
Im umlaufenden blauen Ring steht oben die Webadresse und unten „You Are The Search Engine.“, wörtlich übersetzt: „Du bist die Suchmaschine“.

Wir erhielten die Coin von einem Cacher aus Colorado - vielen Dank nochmals für dieses besondere Stück.
