Mid size coin with heft. 1.5 inches 3.5 mm thick 28 grams antique gold. Available in other metal colors. 100 gold coins minted. The front of this coin has lots of matte enamel work. The 3-D metal is in the edge work. The medallion shows three mustang horses running with a Mustang car. The artwork is fairly life-like. The red enamel rim has script that reads "Mustangjoni, 2006 N32 52.20 W96 56.320". The reverse has nice background metal texture and continues the matte enamel. The medallion shows the outline of the state of Texas done in blue enamel and it has a white star near Irvinng TX. It has script that reads "Mi Vida Loca!" (Mmy crazy life). The red enamel rim has script that reads "me & my little pony caching across Texas since June 4, 2005". A very nice personal coin.
Info on the coin: The first edition was designed by Jamie at Mad Hatter's Neverland. The icon was designed by YemonYime.
100 gold coins, which were actually only intended for exchange. The 400 Bronze coins were to be sold via the cointracking website that existed at the time. In addition, 100 silver coins were minted by OakCoins and 300 pins were produced with the same motif as on their coin. On April 29, 2006, the first coins arrived at their new owners.
The geocoin reflects her love for Texas, horses and mustangs. On the obverse of the coin, a moving FORD Mustang can be seen in a sunny desert landscape, accompanied on both sides by 3 galloping horses. In the outer red circle ring is the nickname and the year 2006 at the top and the coordinates N 32° 52.210 W 96° 56.320 at the bottom, at the position of which a bronze artwork can be seen in Irving on Williams Square. The "Mustangs of Las Colinas" is a bronze sculpture by Robert Glen. It shows a group of nine wild mustangs 1.5 times life-size galloping through a watercourse.
In the center of the coin's reverse are the blue-filled map outline of Texas with a white star at the position of Irving and the inscription "MI VIDA LOCA!" (My crazy life!). The back is also bordered by a red circle ring that reads "ME & MY LITTLE PONY" at the top and "CACHING ACROSS TEXAS SINCE JUNE 4, 2005" at the bottom.
Currently, 721 tracking codes are assigned to the icon. The difference to the 600 coins from 2006 is certainly the coins of the two additional editions in Black Nickel from 2011.
MustangJoni unfortunately passed away much too young in the summer of 2018
So many of my trackables have gone muggled that I only release new GCs as virtuals. If you do not approve, please leave it in a cache for a cacher who understands. Thanks. CL

Thanks to the 2023 Christmas Day blizzard my daughter, JMVonFange, was delayed in heading home so we spent the bonus time together comparing our caching statistics including trackables discovered and looking through our geocaching pictures. JM has discovered significantly more trackables that I have mainly because while we were staying home during the pandemic she spent time online and spotted numerous TBs that were being shared virtually on various social media sites like Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, etc. Thankfully, she still had a few notes that helped guide my search for the same trackables that she had already discovered. After looking at the TB page for each of the TBs that she had discovered, I found that a large number all belonged to several individuals and sent a message to them individually inquiring about permission to log their trackables. This travel bug was on the list that you shared with me.
