Don't know why this one is archived - it is present, the log is in good shape and it is totally and easily findable!
Third of three finds today...
The 'S.O.' (significant other) got me up to go yard-saling today, and we told the kids they could stay in bed - we'd only be gone for 'a few minutes'. Or so Dad told them.
Three hours, three caches, and three yard sales later (and one desperately needed cup o' joe at Gorham Grind), we came back to find warm blueberry muffins ready for us... I like this kind of Sunday morning!

Neat bridge and we loved the view... hey! Reinstate this cache!

My buddy and I got to the exact spot of the location and there was a bulldozer around the area and made it difficult to find. But the good thing is that we found it.

As Dolittle1992 stated, there is a bulldozer there & it just missed this geocache by a hair litteraly. I'm temporarily disabling this cache until I can assess the situation as to what is going on. Sorry for any inconvenience.

This cache has been removed by the U.S. Forest Service who visited the site on 8/17/05 and found unacceptable impacts. 
This is an historic site protected under the National Historic Preservation Act and a memorial to the 7 airmen who were injured or killed here. Since late 2002 when the cache was created, there has been a noticeable increase in damage to the remaining plane parts and vegetation around the site. A bushel bag of flagging was removed from the trail. Initials and dates (mostly beginning in 2003) have been scratched into a wing and a 1' by 2' piece of wing was cut out and removed. This is the same wing that contained the cache. Many other large pieces of the plane have been rolled over or moved. 

In an effort to prevent further damage and desecration of the memorial, it can no longer be a cache location. JS

I was FTF on this cache when I seen it was diabled,I decided to take a look to see if it was missing ,and IT IS gone.hopefully it gets replaced soon.

I've been looking for this one for 3 weeks or so and I can safely say that I think it is gone.

Last weekend I had 4 people all with masks and snorkles swimming around and around looking for this one. We covered a HUGE area and could not find it.

I think it should be checked.

I went out to replace the log on this and found container in a completly diff. area. it was then i deciced a 40min drive was too far away for a cache to be mantianed. contaner will be replaced elsewhere.

I have been out of town so my husband checked on the cache today and it is gone.  Sorry to all of you who took time to look for it.  The railroad is doing work in the area and removed the piece of metal in the woods that the cache was hidden in.  I certainly didn't expect this when I hid it.  Will try to put a new one out in the area next month.

A Hobo's Find  

This list is by no means complete, and is made up of caches within 30-40 miles of my home coords (for the most part).  Any nearby archived caches not on the list?  Let me know!

For the most part, I tried to include the logs that are pertinent to the cache's archival.

In a few cases, the cache has been replaced by another, and is noted as such.  

There are a few caches on the list that all received SBA's from Silver Rubicon.  Most have no DNF logs prior to the SBA...  I only editorialized a little bit.

Every once in a while (every few weeks?), I'll check a new pocket query of disabled caches against an older one to see what has dropped off the list and add them in if they are archived.  If they dropped off because they were re-enabled, BRAVO!
