ROSE RED'S OREGON DeLORME CHALLENGE - 2008 (7th Ed.)

My son, Christopher, daughter, Catherine, and I did the Backroads of Oregon the summer of 2010 from Cascades to Idaho border and from Washington border to Nevada border. In August 2012 I did the Backroads of Oregon II of southwest and southern Oregon. I completed the Oregon DeLorme Challenge (GCQKKE) on Monday, August 13, 2012. I notified the owner of the DeLorme Challenge. I thought the final cache would be located in Grants Pass (see map on cache page) however I received an e-mail from the cache owner giving the coords for the final cache in Bandon on the Oregon coast! Ironically I had just spent a week in Coos Bay, Florence and Bandon. It will likely be ages before I return to Bandon. Would I have done Oregon DeLorme Challenge knowing the cache is located in Bandon - not Grants Pass? Yes. However I would have planned the trip to end there. I enjoyed the Oregon DeLorme Challenge irregardless of the fact that I may never see the final cache.
