Kingsport Traditional Cache

Cache is located on Big Duck Island in Williamsport, MD. Container has been placed to survive flood lines, and painted to help it blend into its environment. Please use caution as always getting the cache in and out, and make sure to secure container before departing.

You have followed the wisps for what feels like hours. The shattered alien moon overhead has long since disappeared over the horizon. You feel as though you have been transported again, but are unsure. The smell of ocean fills your nostrils as the sun crests over the ridge, burning away the early morning chill, you can see a vast ocean in the distance. A port city of considerable size shines in the early morning light at the end of the old road. Welcome to Kingsport, keep your wits about you and your coin purse hidden.

In recent history, the port town of Kingsport is struggling to eke out a living. Trade ships have stopped coming out from the mainland, causing most of the honest merchants who regularly set up shop to move on to Owl's Head or other towns. A smuggling band known as the Broken Anchor soon rose up, depicting itself as a group of heroes keeping the town alive by passionately breaking the rules. Without sufficient pay, most of the guards have also left, the few that remain being unpaid volunteers or bribed by smugglers to not interfere with their trades. -http://sotawiki.net/
