To
log this cache you must complete the Mini Challenge
below. Final
container is technically a Difficulty 1.5/Terrain 3
This is one challenge in a
planned series of "Mini Challenges". Although this actual cache is
fairly easy to find and located as a Terrain 3 the challenge is
much harder to accomplish making it a Difficulty 5. You may visit this cache as often
as you like to drop, exchange or take trackable items but you can
not post a "Found It" log until you complete the challenge
requirements.
The challenge concept is
simple. You must find a total of nine other caches
first. Each one must be
a "Terrain 3" cache but each cache must be of a different
difficulty rating. If you look at the
Difficulty/Terrain grid below you will notice that there are rows
and columns for Difficulty and Terrain respectively.
Your task is to find at
least one cache in each row of the Terrain 3 Column. The diagram above illustrates the
column that needs to be completed. This and the future mini
challenges in this series will require some research for, and
driving to, some of the rarer D/T combination caches. My research finds that you can
accomplish this within a 76 mile radius of the final
container. You may use
any combination of cache types, traditional, virtual, multi,
whatever. It may also
inspire some others to place some of the more difficult caches to
find to help diversify the choices. Also, once completed, you can use
this find in one of the future challenges to fill the 5/3
square!! Most likely
the Difficulty 5 Challenge. (Yet to be published)
To Log Your
Find: You have choices...
-
#1 – Preferred method. In your log list your nine finds
with their GC Number, Name, and the date of your find.
-
#2 – Create a bookmark including this
cache and the nine qualifying finds for me to review.
-
#3 – If you want to be secretive you can
email the list of qualifying caches for review.
If you post a "Found It" without submitting your
list of finds I will delete your log. I will also be verifying all lists
for accuracy.
This Challenge will work well in conjunction
with some other, larger scale, challenges like the ones listed
below.
