Lake
Medina is a beautiful lake in the city of Medina. It was
created in the 1960s as a reservoir for the city of Medina by
flooding the west branch of the Rocky River. By 2002, however,
Medina had outgrown the reservoir and it began to be used strictly
for recreational purposes. Fishing, canoeing, hiking and
cross-country skiing are popular activities here. Dogs are welcome
too and love to swim in the lake.
The trail to the cache can be accessed from the Lake Medina
North parking lot, at 3733 Granger Road in Medina (coordinates
listed below). A regular sized container, is located within about
15 feet of the trail, so please do not bushwhack. Please remember
to cache in and trash out. Park closes at dark. Round trip distance
from parking lot to cache is approximately 1/2 mile.
This cache will expire on November 30, 2011.
