Green Leaf
Park was the first land to be developed as a county park. It
was once a gravel pit but visitors to the park would never know its
past as they enjoy the grassy slopes and wooded nature trail. The
park provides the setting for the early 1800's Hard family log
cabin. One of the earliest homes known to exist in the county, this
structure was moved to the park by the Sharon Historical Society.
The Medina County Herb Society maintains an herb garden near the
cabin for park visitors to enjoy. Other park amenities include: a
small fishing pond, active recreation facilities in the form of a
football/soccer field, two reservable picnic shelters, and a
sledding hill.
The trail to the cache can be accessed from either parking lot.
A regular sized container is located approx. 25 feet off the trail,
so please do not bushwhack. Please remember to cache in and trash
out. Park closes at dark. Round trip distance from parking lot to
cache is approximately 1/4 mile.
This cache will expire on November 30, 2011.
