Welcome to the booming metropolis that is Elmira! At the last census, the population was found to be 188. If you ever ride the Capitol Corridor to Davis and Sacramento, Elmira flashes past your eyes in about 5 seconds. It may not be the biggest town around, but Elmira contributes to one of the things I like best about Solano County: its rural character. Solano County has many back roads where you can drive for miles and only see a handful of houses. Elmira reminds me that though most of us here in Solano probably live in suburban type neighborhoods, that rural places still exist in our midst. I hope you enjoy the drive out into the country, and while you're here grab a few more caches around the Elmira area. Cache itself is a cammoed peanut butter jar and should be able to hold some swag. BYOP though, and should be an easy park and grab. There's some houses nearby so practice stealth. Enjoy!
