Welcome to Vacaville Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Nomex: Hi
As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm temporarily archiving this to keep it from continually showing up in search lists. Just contact us when you have the cache repaired, [RED]and assuming it still meets the guidelines[/RED], we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Don't hesitate to email me via the link on my Profile if you have any questions. [red]Please be sure to include the cache name and GC Code, or better yet, the URL of the cache page.[/red]

Thanks for your cooperation!

Geocache Description:

Part of the Welcome to Solano County series. In order to celebrate the county that I've called home for 21 years, I've placed the Welcome to Solano County series. In each city and town across the county I've placed a cache that contains a digit for the coordinates to a final cache, located in a popular county park. As you find each cache, feel free to share your experiences about Solano County and its cities and towns!

Situated right in the heart of Solano County, Vacaville is probably best known for two things: the Nut Tree and the large state prison in the south part of town. For me, however, it has become a second home. Though I grew up in Suisun City, I often think that my life is really in Vacaville. I went to high school here, attend church here, and have many friends here. Vacaville holds a very special place in my heart, and has truly become home. I've placed the cache near the intersection of two of Vacaville's busiest thoroughfares: Peabody Road and the Alamo Creek Bike Trail (for bikes). Cache is a lock and lock and can hold some small items. BYOP, and practice stealth. Parking is available on Beelard Drive and from there you can make the short walk. No parking is available on Peabody Road. While you're here, explore the bike trail! It's one of Vacaville's hidden gems. I would however, not recommend this one at night. Enjoy!

Congrats to ALLSEEKERS on the FTF!

Be sure to visit the other caches in the Welcome to Solano County series to collect all the digits for the final cache!
