GoofyButterfly: Time to put this one in the CITO can. Thanks to all of you who came out to help clean up after a very long exhausting weekend. We know so many of you still had to pack up campsites and/or hotel rooms and it was great to see such a huge number show up to give back to the park that gave so much to us as geocachers this weekend. Thank you again to the park for letting us have the events here and for being so welcoming. Thank you Ranger Peter for allowing us to place more caches in the park. We are glad we could give back to the park by cleaning up the county road and the campground. All told we collected a dumpster and a half of garbage. Not bad for just under one hour of work. Geocachers continue to amaze us. Thanks you all so much for being not only just friends but family.

Geocache Description:

Goofy heard that the park needed some help cleaning up!!! We will clean up the camping area and Ranger Peter will also assign an area of the Park that needs to be cleaned.

Event will be in Highlands Hammock State Park starting at 09:00 am. Please help us show appreciation to the park for letting us have events and caches here.
We will be concentrating on the 'camping areas', which are in several areas of the park, as well as when the time gets nearer and Ranger Peter knows what other areas of the Park may need attention, he may ask us if we can do those too. The camping areas are vast, and of course the most used part of the Park that CITO is needed, especially after a weekend, so that is why he has asked for first concentration to be in those areas.

Pooper scooper bags will be provided. We recommend that you bring gloves for clean up.

You should not really be picking up pooh unless you brought your four legged cachers along for the events!! We will be simply cleaning up CITO, although Goofy prefers pooper scooping...but GAWRSHHHH, nobody wants to help with that task!!!

Park Fees

Capt. Peter has waived the Park Admission fee for those people attending and partipating in today's CITO event!

Admission Fees - $4.00 per vehicle for up to 8 people. Single occupant in vehicle - $3.00 Bus admission - $40.00
