Auntcack3: What a kick-off party we had to begin Goofy's Unbirthday weekend. The attendance was out of this world. The covered dishes provided by you cachers were exceptional! And the help I received in pulling it together may be repaid over time, but it will take me a long time to do so. You were all great and I hope that you enjoyed the education and the fellowship as much as I did. Look forward to seeing you all at more events in the future, and if there is anything I can do to help out, please let me know. Thanks, also, to Palmetto for approving the event. I needed all the help I could get since this was my very first event. GoofyButterfly and McGigi were the best, the most patient and helped to make it all possible. Look forward to seeing all of you at future events! Happy caching to ya!

How Geocaching Works

Geocache Description:

Hotdog cook out over an open pit fire. Event will start at 7:00 pm.

***** IMPORTANT *****
If you are arriving after dusk, please call the Ranger Station at 863-386-6094 early and get the access code for the day that allows you into the campground area. Just tell the Ranger you are attending the geocaching event being held in the Park.

We will provide several packages of hotdogs, buns and many trimmings. We ask that you bring something to share (i.e. baked beans, cole slaw, chips, etc) and your own eating utensils and plates, DRINKS etc... Bring your own lawn chair and drink as there will be no seating available at this event site other then a few benches.

Please sign up on your will attend log what you will bring if you are able to bring anything, no obligation.

We will be discussing cache maintenance and the hazzards or muggles and how to handle muggles. There are plenty of muggles around Florida at this time of year!

You will need to find the event log and sign it at the posted coordinates to log this event as attended.

We are hoping that those of you that may have other plans for the weekend will be able to attend this meet, greet and eat event!!

Park Fees

Admission Fees - $4.00 per vehicle for up to 8 people. Single occupant in vehicle - $3.00 Bus admission - $40.00
