The cache container is a 'camouflaged' blue beach
money waterproof matchstick holder.
This cache is part of a series of caches highlighting places that
have excellent Christmas
light
displays.
The Balian House, owned by the famed Balian Ice Cream family,
has been extravagantly decorated since 1955 and is arguably the
pioneer of home holiday lighting. This 3 1/2-acre Altadena estate
includes over 10,000 colored lights and numerous holiday depictions
all over the front and side lawns.
To reach the Balian house from Pasadena, go north on Allen
Avenue toward Altadena, and turn right on Mendocino.
The cache is accessible year-round, although the muggle factor
will substantially increase during December evenings. Please
re-hide the cache as you found it.
