Geocache Description:

Cache is a small container which could only take items such as coins. It contains Hamish Haggis and part of the co-ordinates for the Haggis But'n'Ben and another clue relating to the Haggises' Home cache.

This is one in a series of four Haggis Caches (including Flora, Ruari and Morag), all of whom you will need to find if you want to find their Haggises' Hertfordshire But'n'Ben and Haggises' Home caches.

Redzer has rescued some haggises from the highlands in an effort to conserve the species and start a breeding colony in England (because the English aren't as keen on haggis in their diet as the scots). There are four, each of whom have their own hideout and they also have a But'n'Ben (or holiday pad) and a home where they spend time having ceileidhs. Each of the four haggises have information you will need in order to find their But'n'Ben and Home.

The haggises are keen to read your logs but they only speak in Highland english or gaelic so your best efforts would be appreciated by them greatly.

It’s possible to do all of Redzer’s caches in this area (and Welwyn Woodland) as part of a roughly circular walk. Try parking at N51° 49.133 W0° 12.306, outside a local church. The walk is approximately 6km if you follow the order suggested below:-

Hamish ~ Lightning Tree ~ Googlies ~ Ruari ~ Morag ~ Premier Redz ~ Flora ~ Welwyn Woodland ~ Sheena ~ But’n’Ben ~ Haggises’ Home
