Every so often a bumper run of sockeye salmon returns thorugh the
Hiram Chittenden Locks bound for Lake Washington. Whenever that
happens (like 3 times in the past 15 years) I'm out there fishing
for them, bare hook and all. Great fun. So the wonderfully colorful
Oncorhynchus nerka is deemed worthy of its own puzzle cache.
Assemble the puzzle and read the coordinates to the final.
The difficult version of the puzzle has over 200 pieces and (for
the Windows version) they are randomly rotated. The easy version
has only about 50 pieces and they already oriented correctly. Which
challenge are you up for? You move pieces using the left mouse
button and you rotate pieces using the right mouse button. Once
pieces that belong together and are lined up they will snap
together and move as one piece. The Flash version works with all
operating systems and browsers. For the Windows version, download
the zip file below and then run the executable.

As for the puzzle ... What, you were expecting a zebra or
something? Enjoy!
The hide ... quiet neighborhood ... no need to look suspicious
... find the big green box and it's right underneath.
ps - If you're not sure how to open the container, read the
underside of it so you open it properly and not compromise its
closing mechanism.
Yes, I know the numbers/words are hard to read. That's the
point. So, here's a checksum to verify your interpretation: Add all
15 digits together. Then take that number and sum its digits.
Continue doing this until you get a single digit. That digit is
8.
