Wayland11.0-You suggest I do WHAT optional task?!? Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

The Seanachai: Greetings from Geocaching.com,

While we feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you for a reasonable amount of time, we cannot do so indefinitely. In light of the lack of communication regarding this cache it has been archived to free up the area for new placements. If you haven’t done so already, please pick up this cache or any remaining bits as soon as possible. If you are in the process of replacing or repairing your cache please e-mail me in response to this archival and, if possible, I will unarchive your cache.

I want to thank you for the time that you have taken to contribute in the past and I am looking forward to your continued contributions to the sport of Geocaching.

The Seanachai

How Geocaching Works

Geocache Description:

An easy micro with a twist.

CURRENT OPTIONAL TASK:
Have a party for your (or a) dog! There must be at least 3 dogs in attendance, a cake, with a candle, is required, as are party hats (on the dogs) and presents! (The cake can be for the humans, but they do sell doggie cakes!) Post a photo (or photos) showing the required elements so we can see the enjoyment being had by all the attendees!

Although this cache is accessible at all times, you'll look least suspicious if you search during these hours. Cache container is slightly larger than a pack of gum, and contains a log "scroll". This cache would have a "1.0" handicapped accessible terrain rating except for the fact that there is a short 4" curb to navigate and that the cache is hidden at a height of over five feet.

If you'd like to check if anyone is currently at this geocache, call 508-358-4195. If the phone rings while you are searching, please answer it by saying, "Geocache!"

TO RECEIVE CREDIT FOR YOUR FIND
  • SIGN the log in the micro cache.
As of April 2009, Geocaching.com no longer allows ALR (additional logging requirement) caches. The Wayland 11.0 cache is now an ALO (additional logging option) cache. All finders who sign the log may log a find. Finders who do not complete the optional task will be held in low esteem by fellow cachers.

TO BE HELD IN HIGH ESTEEM BY FELLOW CACHERS, COMPLETE THE OPTIONAL TASK
  • Complete the CURRENT OPTIONAL TASK above.
  • Post verification of the completed task along with instructions for a unique NEW OPTIONAL TASK for the next finder to complete.

New optional tasks must be verifiable by a posted log or photo on this webpage. Please minimize the number of log entries by posting the details of the completed task and your newly created task instructions in the same "Found It" (smiley face) log.

Some possible new optional tasks: post a photo of yourself with a Wal-Mart greeter; post your find in limerick form; post a photo of yourself with your geocaching nickname written on your forehead, post your find written in Polish, post an account of your most embarassing moment. You get the idea - have fun with it! (Optional task should not require extensive travel.)

New task instructions that are deemed unreasonable or inappropriate are subject to modification by the cache owner.

Since this cache changes after every find, multiple "Found It" claims will be allowed.
