This cache will bring you to a small island that was once part of the Oxford Cumberland Canal Towpath. When the nearby dam was built, the river became wider, flooding the banks of the canal.
DO NOT APPROACH THE PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE TO THE SOUTH. Just beyond it is a hydro electric dam. The current is quite safe and calm in the cache area though. (But always use caution.)
You will be looking for a well disguised micro. You can launch your kayak or canoe at Shaw Park, off of Rt. 237, on Partridge Lane. Parking Coordinates are N 43° 44.857 W 070° 26.830. Parking is available closer to the water from 8am to 8pm in the summer months. You shouldn't have to leave your boat to retrieve the cache.
