Gateway to the Nipomo Cache Trail Traditional Geocache

When I first started Geocaching, there were only 2 caches in Nipomo. Now, only 6 months later, there are 20. And more on the way!

• When I placed this cache, there was a Red-Tailed Hawk screeching overhead and the old windmill was squeaking away in the distance. The cows just stood and stared.

• This is the Gateway Cache, the first of 20 caches in the wonderful town of Nipomo, Ca. This cache tour will take you to some of Nipomo’s nicest spots. While you are here, check out our beautiful foothills, spacious homes, tasteful restaurants, churches, stores and Nipomo Park. Take a deep breath and enjoy the clean country air. This trip starts with Nipomo Foothills Lookout Point. From this cache you will get a view of all of Nipomo and the Santa Maria Valley. From here, just up the road is the Near This Spot In The Year 1534 cache, a site where you can make your own history. You will now head downtown to The Writings on the Wall and Nipomo Downtown History Lesson where you will get your Nipomo history lesson. Pay close attention to this one, there will be a test tomorrow. Next stop on this journey is up the hill to the Nipomo Mesa. First Time I Got Stumped and Mighty Cache of the Titans has you looking toward the foothills, kind of a reverse view of where you just were. On to Playing in the mud, the most historic cache site on the “trail”. Time to cross the freeway and sail up to Land Ho! (temporarily unavailable) . If there is ever a flood, this is the cache to be at. Now, 3 more micro’s on the Mesa with easy freeway access: Urban Sprawl 1.1©, Urban Sprawl 1.2© and Urban Sprawl 1.3©. Now it’s off to Nipomo Park, one of Nipomo’s Jewels and the home of Longing For Darkness Cache (temporarily unavailable) , GPSr Accuracy Check Station and Lizard Lounge . And last but not least, gallop on over to Hors’n Around . This is a fitting end to the Nipomo Cache Trail…………for now………..because there is always room for more.

This is a medium/small pill container. It contains a log and a pen, and some nice trinkets for trade. Easy freeway access. Room for a medium sized TB.
