This cache will bring
you out to an underused but beautiful section of the Metacomet
trail, part of the Connecticut's Blue Trail System. The
parking is a little removed from the trial head so I have
included co-ordinates for both in the waypoints section.
The trail is initially steep but it levels off and is a
pleasant hike for the majority of the distance, The cache is
located at the site of some of the best cliffs we have seen,
huge freaky looking formations, giant boulders, sheets of rock
clinging to the cliffs by sheer willpower alone, it's an
awesome area and one that you'll just want to explore when you
get there.
The cache itself (a Lock'n'Lock container) should be a very
easy find, the real draw for this cache should be the rock
formations and of course the other caches placed along the trail
just a bit further up. The further you go, the better the
views get!
