[FI] Jyväskylä on koko maailmassa yksi urbaanin
ulkovalaistuksen edelläkävijöistä - Valon kaupunki. Vuonna 2009
Jyväskylä palkittiin city.people.light -palkinnolla kaupungin
valaistuksesta. Muita valon kaupunkeja ovat mm. Lyon, Seoul ja
Glasgow. Tämä multikätkö esittelee osan kaupungin
valaistuskohteista. Kätkösarjan muita kätköjä on listattu alla.
[EN] Jyväskylä is one of the forerunners of the urban
outdoor lighting in the world - a City of Light. In the year 2009,
Jyväskylä received the city.people.light award. Other cities of
light include e.g. Lyon, Seoul and Glasgow. This multicache
introduces some of the lighting installations of the city. Other
caches belonging to the series are listed below.

Vaihe 1. Aloita koordinaateista N 62° 14.421 E 025°
44.584, Jyväskylän Kirkkopuistosta. Tutustu kirkon
valaistukseen, jossa lämmintä punaista tiiltä valaisevat valkoiset
valot. Puistoalueella on valaistu patsaat, puita ja kulkuväylät,
joita korostaa pylväiden lämmin valo. Laske puistosta löytyvät,
kuvan #1 kaltaiset valaisimet.
Jos valaisimia on yli kymmenen, lisää koordinaatteihin AB =
17.
Jos valaisimia on alle kymmenen, lisää koordinaatteihin AB =
06.
Step 1. Begin at the coordinates N 62° 14.421 E 025°
44.584, in the Church Park of Jyväskylä. Explore the
illumination of the church, where the warm red bricks are
illuminated with white light. In the park area, statues, trees and
paths are illuminated with an emphasis on the warm light from the
lighting posts. Count the lighting posts, which are depicted in the
image #1.
If there are more than ten lighting posts, add to the coordinates
AB = 17.
If there are less than ten lighting posts, add to the coordinates
AB = 06.
Vaihe 2. Heti Kirkkopuiston vierestä alkaa Jyväskylän
kävelykatu, joka on ensimmäinen Suomessa toteutettu katutilan
erikoisvalaistus, jossa valaistus toimii ympäristötaiteena. Jotta
erityisvalaistus saatiin aikaan vuonna 1993, oli kävelukadulle
suunniteltava uudenlaiset epäsuoraa valoa ja
kuituvalaistustekniikkaa hyödyntävät valaisimet. Kävele
koordinaatteista N 62° 14.494 E 025° 44.709 koordinaatteihin
N 62° 14.559 E 025° 44.841, noin puoleen väliin kävelykatua.

Step 2. Next to the Church Park is the pedestrian
precinct of Jyväskylä. Here a special lighting of a street space -
in which the lighting also works as environmental art - was
implemented for the first time in Finland. To enable this special
lighting in 1993, totally new luminaire poles using indirect light
and optical fibre had to be designed for the purpose. Walk from
coordinates N 62° 14.494 E 025° 44.709 to N 62° 14.559 E
025° 44.841, approximately halfway down the pedestrian street.
Count the luminaire poles, which are depicted in the image
#2.
If there are more than twelve lighting posts, add to the
coordinates CD = 85.
If there are less than twelve lighting posts, add to the
coordinates CD = 98.
Vaihe 3. Jatka katua alas kaakkoon. Koordinaateista N
62° 14.432 E 025° 45.114 löytyy Jyväskylän Vanha Asema. Tämä
nikkarityyliä edustava rakennus on valaistu lämpimin valoin,
korostaen rakennuksen omaa sävyä. Laske kuvan #3 valaisinten
lukumäärä.
Jos niitä on alle viisi, lisää koordinaatteihin E = 3.
Jos valaisimia on yli viisi, lisää koordinaatteihin E = 7.
Step 3. Continue southeast down the street. At N 62°
14.432 E 025° 45.114 you'll find the Old Railway Station of
Jyväskylä. This building embodying timber architecture is
illuminated with warm light, highlighting the building's own
colour. Count the lighting posts, which are depicted in the image
#3.
If there are less than five lighting posts, add to the coordinates
E = 3.
If there are more than five lighting posts, add to the coordinates
E = 7.
Vaihe 4. Jatka Jyväskylän Matkakeskukseen, jonka
suurkatosta haluttiin valaistuksella tehdä katseenvangitsija.
Koordinaateista N 62° 14.503 E 025° 45.299 löydät viereisen
kuvan valaisimia, joilla on tavoiteltu huonekalumaista ilmettä.
Laske valaisimet #4.
Jos niitä on yli 20, lisää koordinaatteihin F = 4.
Jos niitä on alle 20, lisää koordinaatteihin F = 9.
Step 4. Continue to the Travel Centre of Jyväskylä. It's
huge roof was illuminated to catch the eye of the visitors. At
coordinates N 62° 14.503 E 025° 45.299 you'll find the
lamps, which are designed to have a furniture-like look. Count the
lamps #4.
If there are more than twenty lamps, add to the coordinates F =
4.
If there are less than twenty lamps, add to the coordinates F =
9.
Vaihe 5. Kävele ylikulkusillan kautta koordinaatteihin
N 62° 14.120 E 025° 44.710. Tältä paikalta on hienot näkymät
useaan kohteeseen: Kuokkalan sillalle suoraan idässä, Ylistön
sillalle lounaassa, Kuokkalan vesitorniin sekä rantaraitin
valaistukseen. Kuokkalan silta on valaistu teemalla The Golden
Brigde ja sen valaistuksesta on tullut merkittävä maamerkki
Jyväskylälle. Rantaraitin puupylväät muodostavat oranssina
hehkuvien valopisteiden rivin. Laske siltojen väliin jäävät
valopisteet (lisää arviosi niiden määrästä lokikirjaan!). Lopuksi
etsi kätkö koordinaateista N 62° 14.ABC E 025° 44.DEF.
Step 5. Using the overpass, walk to coordinates N 62°
14.120 E 025° 44.710. From this spot, you'll have a great view
on many of the city's finest installations: to the Kuokkala Bridge
in the east, to the brigde of Ylistö in the southwest, to the water
tower in Kuokkala, and to the Rantaraitti pedestrian path along the
lake. The Kuokkala Bridge is illuminated under the theme of The
Golden Bridge and its illumination has become a significant
landmark for Jyväskylä. The wooden poles form a line of light
points glowing in orange. Count the light points that are located
between the two bridges (and add your estimate on their number to
the log book!). Finally, find the cache at coordinates N 62°
14.ABC E 025° 44.DEF.
