Geocache Description:

Come join us to "Party with Baz", aka Goagain, as we unveil his travelbug on his headstone.

This will be a short event at the Cathcart Cemetery on Saturday 11 July, between 2.00 and 2.30pm.

How did all this come about?   This is a true caching story.....

Baz is Barry Need, caching name Goagain.

Back in 2011, Goagain found a multi cache that starts in this general area (GZ1N523), and commented to his family that this was such a beautiful place to be buried.

Sadly, a bit over a year later, Goagain passed away, and his family honoured this sentiment, and his caching passion, by choosing this final resting place for him.

In early 2015, Chooknchunk had been searching for Goagain's two multi caches in Ararat (GZ2ZB6F) and (GZ2E2E0), and had struck waypoint issues with both, so had contacted the cache owner and learnt of the above situation. The family have been really keen to keep the caches alive in Goagain's honour, so Chooknchunk offered to help.

Around the same time, Chooknchunk also started the multi cache in this general area, and stumbled across Goagain.

One thing led to another, adoption of Goagain's two caches was organised, and a travelbug was organised to stay with Baz. His family are insistent that he would love nothing more than to have fellow geocachers come and visit him up here.

All geocachers are invited to join us to launch his bug.
